Just a whole lot of nonsense . . .

My hair lately has gotten ridiculously long. I am over it and ready for a change. I think I want it cut like Missy Higgins . . .

I really like Yankee's Jack Frost candle. The pepperminty vanilla smell just makes things feel cozy and clean.

I am getting a new puppy because my g-ma's dog had babies. I have mixed feelings about having 2 dogs, but neither dog sheds and this dog will be small forever and Lola does love puppies, so I think it will be good-- as long as the puppy learns how to sleep fast. I am more concerned about sleeping than I am about potty training.

I saw Grand Turino last night and I liked it more than I thought I would. I think it might be one of the best ones I have seen for a while-- the holiday movies left me wanting more.

I think I am going to write a book. Fairy tales for the middle schooler-- modernize them a bit . . . add some spice. I think it will work. I'll keep you updated!

I am watching Premonition. What a silly, silly movie, but as you probably know, I am a complete sucker for movies that deal with time at all.

I am waiting for Dexter to come on in an hour. Tonight is the season finale and I know it is going to be a cliffhanger, and I know I am going to be just as anxious about that crazy serial killer after the finale.

My Christmas tree that got cut down yesterday is home to spiders. I have Raided the tree several times. I want the spiders to go away now. Now.

I cannot find my dust buster charging cord anywhere. ANYWHERE. And it is making me feel like I am losing my mind. Losing my mind.

I took a break from Jodi P. for a while, now I am finishing up Mercy after reading Harvesting the Heart. It is time to plan winter break books to read.

Winter break . I am so excited I can barely contain myself. There will be Bailey's with my coffee, lunch dates with my sisters, and time to just relax.

I am so glad Tuesday is almost here. I am done with thinking about elections.

Watching: Wheel of Fortune yet again.

Reading: A book by Jen Lancaster and cracking up!

Thinking about: Same gender classrooms and wondering if I could rent the series Blossom . . .

Singing: Say What You Need to Say by John Mayer

Being Aggravated By: My grandma's dog

Wishing: For longer and warmer days already

Wondering: How my house gets messy so quickly

Knowing: Who I am voting for and why

Listening to: J.K. Rowling's Commencement address at Harvard-- good stuff

Hoping: That my mom's job gets better again and dad's stress test tomorrow goes well

Praying: For my family and Magaly's fast-growing cancer in Puerto Rico

Understanding: That 30 is a pretty good place

Liking: My new purse-- slouchy, gray, Kenneth Cole

Missing: My sister

Dreaming: About conversations that cannot take place . . . ever

Forgetting: More than I should lately.

First of all, milk duds + sea salt = genius.

Second of all, sometimes I cannot believe how different my thoughts and opinions are from my friends.

Third of all, is the lady on Wheel of Fortune really wearing a flower behind her ear?

I want to go somewhere. I need a trip soon. Sometimes, I just want to be a gypsy. I want to have good stories at the nursing home or the retirement villa in Miami.

Lately, I feel like this administration thing might happen before I am ready. That scares me. I am glad I will be done in May, but wow, I'll be done in May. Do I start the Doctorate right away or take a year off??

I need to get rid of some clutter.

See, once the school year is under full swing, I cannot form anything but simple, short thoughts!

Congratulations, Beth! Woohoo!!

Obsessions:

The Twilight series. I cannot get enough of the vampire love story.

Sunday afternoons. I love no plans.

Dierberg's chunky pecan and grape chicken salad. I could eat this everyday.

Clinique's almost makeup mineral powder. All day it lasts.

Jiffy's cornbread. Cheap and tasty, especially with honey baked on top.

My new phone, the Rumor. Fun and compact.

Autumn Leaves candle by Yankee.

A coat I want desperately at Kohl's. It is a wool black pea-swing hybrid.
